Faith · Why Formation-First
Built by a pastor, not a startup.
Most church software was built by tech people for operations. TMOS was built by a pastor for formation — after nearly three decades of watching faithful churches break under tools that measured the wrong things.
How members are tracked
Standard ChMS: Engagement score, attendance count
TMOS
A formation arc — the 10-stage pathway, per person
Why it matters
People are being formed, not metered.
How communication sounds
Standard ChMS: Campaigns optimized for open rates
TMOS
Pastoral touchpoints in the Shepherd's tone
Why it matters
A church is a household, not a mailing list.
How health is measured
Standard ChMS: Activity dashboards, giving trends
TMOS
The Berean Score — ABC across four constituencies
Why it matters
Activity can rise while formation erodes.
Who owns the data
Standard ChMS: The vendor, often monetized
TMOS
The church — anonymized, audit-logged, never sold
Why it matters
Souls are not a data product.
What the dashboard rewards
Standard ChMS: Growth, throughput, comparison
TMOS
Next faithful steps — never a leaderboard
Why it matters
What you reward is what you form.
Where the money goes
Standard ChMS: A percentage of every gift
TMOS
Zero percent taken from giving
Why it matters
Ministry, not a marketplace.
